Hunting in Hungary and Slovakia

Until further notice, the FMD Emergency Measures Ordinance prohibits, among other things, the import of

• live susceptible animals
• fresh meat from farmed and wild susceptible animals,
• offal, including unprocessed animal by-products (ABP) from farmed and wild susceptible animals at the slaughterhouse
• Hunting trophies,
• game in the cover of susceptible animals
• hunted game of susceptible species

Transit to other member states is permitted, but is also discouraged.

Hunting trophies should be stored/stored in the country of origin and transported at a later date when the current measures have been lifted and there is no longer a risk of disease introduction.
